Ingredients
½loaf baguette bread
24pcs1-inch pieces of lettuce (about ¼ of a head of lettuce)
8slicesbacon
12pcscherry tomatoes
¼cupmayonnaise (use more or less to taste)
Instructions
Cut the lettuce into 1-inch pieces and slice the cherry tomatoes in half.
Slice the baguette into 24 thin slices.
Cut the bacon into thirds, then cook in a medium or large skillet over medium-low heat until slightly crispy. Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate to absorb the grease.
Spread a thin layer of mayonnaise on each baguette slice, using more or less to taste
Arrange the baguette slices on a parchment-lined tray or baking sheet. Top each slice with lettuce, then bacon, then tomato.
Stick a toothpick through the center of each bite to hold it all together.
Notes
If you’d like a crunchier base, toast the baguette slices at 350°F for 5–7 minutes, or until lightly golden, before adding the toppings.
