Easy Mini Waffle Sandwich Ingredients

You only need four ingredients to make these waffle sliders.

  • Mini frozen or homemade waffles
  • Whipped cream
  • Strawberries and blueberries (or substitute berries of your choice)

Strawberry & Blueberry Waffle Sandwiches

Filled with strawberries and whipped cream and garnished with blueberries, these mini waffle sandwiches are as yummy as they are cute.
These make the perfect breakfast as well as an indulgent snack or dessert to enjoy any time of day.

Prep Time 10 minutes
Cook Time 5 minutes
Total Time 15 minutes
Servings 8 sandwiches

Ingredients

  • 16 mini frozen waffles (or homemade)
  • 1 cup sliced strawberries
  • 8 blueberries
  • ½ cup whipped cream
  • 8 toothpicks

Instructions

  • Slice strawberries and set aside.
  • Toast mini waffles and transfer them to a plate.
  • On one side of the waffle place a dollop of whipped cream and a couple of strawberry slices.
  • Place another waffle on top making a sandwich.
  • Stick a toothpick into the sandwich to secure it together and garnish with a blueberry.

Waffle Types
This recipe calls for frozen waffles but you can use homemade waffles if you prefer. They just won’t be as fast to make. 
 
Other Fruit Variations 
This recipe would work with a variety of fruit, not just strawberries and blueberries.
You could substitute the strawberries and blueberries for crushed pineapple, kiwi, banana slices, other types of berries, or your favorite fruit.
 

Waffle Station: A Creative Way To Serve Frozen Waffles For Breakfast or Brunch

When serving these you can, of course, assemble them into sandwiches beforehand but another fun way is setting up a breakfast waffle station.

Spread out all the ingredients for the mini waffle sandwiches on a plate. Then have everyone build their own waffle sandwiches.

You can even include all different types of fresh fruit so everyone can personalize it to their tastes.
