It’s filled with all kinds of self-care items like lotion, bath bombs, cozy socks, an eye mask and more. Basically everything your recipient will need to have a relaxing spa day at home.

You can give this homemade spa gift basket for almost any occasion or holiday.  It’s a great gift idea for Christmas, Valentines’s day, Mother’s Day, etc.

Even if you aren’t giving this to someone as a gift, you can make it for yourself to have a cheap at home spa day!

You won’t believe how inexpensive this gift basket is to put together!  You can easily create this for under $10!  Well, I technically spent $11, but if you put in one less bath bomb, it’s under $10!  

DIY Spa Gift Basket Supplies

All the goodies in the gift basket were purchased at the Dollar Tree. Instead of putting the stuff in a regular basket, I opted for a plastic caddy.

These plastic caddies are great to reuse around the house. One side of the caddy has three dividers, which is great for organizing.

DIY Spa Day Gift Basket Tips

Remember, you can really customize this gift basket to the person you are giving it to. If they don’t take baths, go for more shower essentials.

For a cohesive basket, try to stick to a color scheme.  For this basket, I went with pinks and purples with bright pops of blue and yellow.

This isn’t necessary, but just makes everything look pulled together!

My last tip is to take the packaging off a few items to make it look nicer.  The bath bombs came in packaging that I didn’t like the look of in my basket.  They were still wrapped in plastic, so I ditched the outer packaging.

The same thing for the socks, I wanted to be able to drape them outside the basket and the tag was getting in the way.

 

Bonus Homemade Pampering Spa Gifts

Out of the purchased items for the spa basket, I made a couple bonus gift ideas to share with you.

Spa Goodies In A Vase 

Instead of having a big gift basket, you could just give a few items in a glass vase.  It looks pretty and they could reuse the vase.

Directions: Put a shower mesh sponge at the bottom of the vase.  You may need to squish it down a little bit.  Then add a lotion and bath bomb.

I tied a bow around the lotion.  You could also just tie a big bow around the vase if you like.

 

Cozy Sock Spa Gift

This is a great idea and only costs $2 to make.  Being that they are so inexpensive, they would be adorable to give as party favors or at baby and wedding showers.

Directions: Wrap a pair of comfy socks around a body scrub and wrap with ribbon. You could also use lotion, shower gel, bubble bath, etc.

So cute and very easy to make!
