10 Keto Snacks For Summer That Are Beyond Easy

If you’re looking to snack on something refreshing, not heavy, in the hot summer months, these keto low carb snacks will really hit the spot!

Many of these keto snack ideas are nice and cold, so they will cool you off on a hot summer day.  Others use fresh summer ingredients like summer squash, berries and more!

There are even some sweet keto snacks as well to satisfy your cravings. Can you say keto cookie dough?

Keto Low Carb Snacks For Summer 

1. Plain Greek Yogurt & Frozen Blueberries

This is one of my favorite keto snacks for summer!  Of course, you can use fresh blueberries too, but I find frozen blueberries to be very refreshing on a hot summer day.  Another added bonus of frozen berries is many times they are cheaper as well.

Quick Tip: Measure out the portions to make sure it fits into your net carb or carb goal for the day. Make sure to buy plain Greek yogurt with no added sugar.  Also, look for higher fat like 2% or 5%.  

 

2. Cucumber, Smoked Salmon & Cream Cheese

This snack is so tasty, yet so nutritious at the same time. Cucumbers are 95% water and will help you stay hydrated, so they’re the perfect cooling veggie to eat during the summer months!

The smoked salmon is high in omega-3 fatty acids and protein, making it a great choice.

Directions: Cut your cucumber into 1/2″ slices (or whatever size slices your prefer).  Spread with cream cheese and top with a small piece of smoked salmon. Garnish with dill or parsley (optional).

3. Caprese Salad

Caprese salad is a summer staple in my home! This salad is packed with simple whole ingredients like tomatoes and mozzarella cheese.

What makes this dish awesome for a keto diet is the olive oil, which is high in good for you monosaturated fat.

My recipe for this isn’t exact because I want you to be able to tailor it to your taste. You can make a big portion of this to share or make a smaller portion for an individual snack.

4. Iced  Bulletproof Coffee – Keto Low Carb Snacks!

Sometimes I love having bulletproof coffee as a quick snack because it gives me so much energy.  If you’re still hungry, you could always pair it with a handful of nuts or some berries.

If you haven’t tried cookie dough straight out of the fridge when it’s warm outside, you’re really missing out!  This is something you won’t want to overdo, but if you portion it out it makes a delicious snack.

One serving has only 1 net carb and 17 grams of fat.
